A Reunion to Remember

All of us except Que-he was working

On our scavenger hunt around town

Our old neighbor's yard-the Larson's. Their yard was gorgeous!

Our old house-so many memories there.

Last week Brent and I traveled to Salt Lake City for a reunion with all my brothers and sisters and their spouses. It was truly a reunion to remember. This get-together was the brainchild of my sister, Merrilee and it was really special.
We met on Thursday night at Little America (a hotel) in downtown Salt Lake where most of us stayed. We had a great dinner at the restaurant there and then went to Scott and Celeste's room for the "inspiration" (a DVD that Dad had made and sent to Merrilee). This video got Merrilee thinking about getting us all together. Dad's DVD might be available to view in the near future!
We met the next day at Gateway (a mall) and divided up in teams-the B Team (Dad and the siblings) vs. the Outlaws (the spouses of the Buchanan's). We went armed with cameras and video cameras and proceeded to go around the city on a scavenger hunt down memory lane. It was truly a wonderful experience for me. So many things to see which inspired many stories told on our trip around town by all of us. All the video and pictures were uploaded to Merrilee's computer and will be edited and distributed!
We all met back at Jan and Que's house in the evening for a delicious barbecued rib dinner and more trivia and memories.
I don't know what could top such an awesome few days. Thank you, Merrilee for thinking this up and thank you family for providing me with such a wonderful life.

I'm glad you got the chance to hang out with all of your brothers and sisters again. It's always so funny and refreshing to bring up some good memories. They get funnier the older you get too.
