A few more tidbits about the place we stayed in Barcelona. For me, it was a "love-hate" sort of place. The location was so close to everything-but that was the problem, too. The street was a potpourri of businesses and apartments. A bar was just under us along with a store and a little place where we ate two nights in a row. The place where we ate was convenient and the food was delicious. Gavin wanted to eat there on the third night but Brett said, "no". The bar was noisy and close. Since it was the weekend, the partying went well into the early hours of the next morning. Fortunately, the bedrooms of our apartments were in the back.
The last afternoon we were there, we arrived home to see a dead mouse on the floor just inside the door. We think the heavy door must have been Mr. Mouse's demise. The kids all gathered 'round to see poor Mr. Mouse. I'm sure he has plenty of relatives on the street but we did
not see any of them
in our apartments, nor did we see any of their "bug" friends. That was good.
This is the view from one of our apartment bedrooms-pretty, huh?
Coming out of the door leading up to Gothic Green
and Gothic Blue (our apartments).
Poor Mr. Mouse after his run-in with the door.

I'm still wondering if it was Ratoncito Perez. I guess the next time a tooth goes under the pillow we'll find out.
Thank you for at least showing the mouse to us. I am glad you looked for his relatives. The place you stayed at actually sounds a lot like the place we stayed in Florence and a couple of the other cities in Italy. Right in the action, but not the nicest places. I still have fond memories and I know you will too.
Grandma!!! Hope you have a most magnificiant birthday!!! I love you!
Love,
Mauri
