After 16 + hours of traveling, we arrived in Madrid jetlagged but happy to see Brett, Amy and the kids. Our plan was that we would keep going until 8 pm so that we could crash and feel rested the next morning. I have to admit that I had a few cat naps during the day, just to be able to make it. Brent and Devin did too! We went to downtown Madrid with Brett, Amy, and Cohen. We just wandered around and the day was beautiful. Just before returning back to their home, we ate churros and chocolate-yummy! The kids came home from school in the afternoon and we played and hung out. After dinner, we finally decided to get ready for bed. I knew it was my time to hit the sack when I fell asleep holding a puzzle piece as I was helping Eli put a puzzle together. Devin and Adalie were laughing at me when I woke up! Anyway, this morning we feel much better. We are going to go to Segovia tomorrow and Toledo on Saturday. Too much to see in too short of time!

Devin looks like Kasey in that bottom picture. Say hi to everyone for us! We're headed down to S.D. today to go to the tide pools and hopefully see some whales from Cabrillo. Eat a few churros for me. They look yummy!
