What a Trip!

I just returned from a wonderful trip to Paris with Danielle. She had been in southern France for a few weeks and invited me to stay with her in Paris for the last week of her trip. We stayed in a little flat, a little off the beaten path but still in the city. It was near a Metro stop and was on a quiet street. We were four flights up and we hiked those stairs every day!
I think we saw just about as much as you can see in a week in Paris! Our feet and legs were tired at the end of each day but we covered a lot of ground. The weather during the day was cool and blustery but the evenings were calm and warm. We had a goal to eat a "crepe a day." One day we missed our crepe but we made up for it the next day by eating two!
My two favorite things we did were-going to the Eiffel Tower (twice) and attending church in the Paris ward. I loved going to church-the minute I walked in, I felt the Spirit. They may have been speaking in French but I knew they were teaching and speaking about the same things we teach and speak about in our ward. We are all bound together by one common denominator-the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Danielle was the perfect guide. She knew how to get around and she can speak French-what a blessing for me! Thanks for inviting me, Danielle and thanks Brent, for letting me go to Paris!

Sounds like such a great trip! When Cohen saw the pics of the Eiffel Tower, he thought you were at Kings Island. I guess we'll have to educate them about where the REAL Eiffel tower sits.

I love the pictures! You have inspired me to break out the ol' crepe maker. I need to find some good recipes. The blog is looking really cute!!!

Seriously, next time I am coming in your suitcase if I have to. It killed me that you were there I was missing out. But, I am so happy you were able to go on a foreign vacation that wasn't on a cruise ship. Your photos are beautiful.
