I must be crazy...

I am in charge of "Game Night" for our ward on February 13th. Andrea Aguiar suggested that we have a "HUMAN Checker's Tournament". They had done it in her singles ward in Utah so the wheels in my head started turning and I decided to buy a drop cloth and paint the checkerboard on it.
Today I spread the drop cloth out on my driveway and proceeded to paint in the squares. After doing about 8 of the squares, I finally figured out that you need to get a lot of paint on the cloth so that you can avoid carpal tunnel syndrome from pushing on the roller too hard.(I know that I'm going to wake up in the morning with my hands alseep and all tingling.) Then, I finally got the system going and I ran out of paint. So I ended up painting half the squares-16 with the rest to finish later. I think it will be a lot of fun for the people in the ward. I hope that I have a skirt long enough to wear to Church to cover up my scraped up, swollen knees. At least we will have a giant checkerboard to use at parties and family reunions, etc.

That looks like fun! Years ago we made a giant Monopoly board for one of our Young Women New Beginnings night. We used two giant drop cloths and markers, it took us forever to make, but it turned out great and we had a lot of fun!

I have a giant foam sandwich if you ever need that for an activity. Oh the crazy things we do for church activities!

What did you use the giant foam sandwich for?
