Last week Jennilee and Cache came to visit us. He didn't lack for people who wanted to hold him and tend him. He is such a good baby-even when he gets a little fussy, he is easily consoled. We all(me, Brent, Jennilee, and Cache) drove back to Jennilee's house near Placerville on Saturday. It took us 13 hours to get there because I-5 was closed for 15 miles due to the fires. We took a 3 hour detour-saw parts of California we've never seen before and pretty much crawled at stop and go speeds the whole way. In spite of that, Cache was really good and we made it there by 9:15pm. Sunday, Cache was blessed by Logan in Sacrament Meeting. After the meeting, we had a little dinner with some of the Calkins' relatives and friends. Monday Brent and I hit the road again and drove home-happily I-5 was open!
