A Taste of the Seasons

This week, I am staying with Brett and Amy's kids while they are in Madrid, Spain searching for a home to rent. I have been here since Friday and will be flying home this Saturday. We have been having a great time, although I know why you have young children while you are younger! We drove down to Traci's on Saturday and stayed with the Underwood's overnight. The kids had such a great time with their cousins.
I always forget how beautiful the changing leaves are, since we don't really have our seasons defined in California. I think we have summer, fire season and spring! It has been pretty warm here which is unseasonable but it is so great for the kids to be able to go outside and play. It is also great to be in "McCain Palin" country. (So I guess you know who I am voting for!) It is just another sign of "election" season. Oh, and by the way-we filled up our car yesterday for $2.73 a gallon. Can you beat that?

Holy smokes, $2.73 a gallon? I was wondering how much gas was back home. Thank you for taking such good care of our kids. I know it's exhausting, but they will remember the fun they had with you. Oh, and Madrid falls are absolutely gorgeous too, but you'll have to come see for yourself.

I'm glad you're having fun, but I can't wait until you come home. I miss you!
